The Northern Territory's tropical Top End boasts some of the best hunting for pigs in Australia. The Mary River Wetlands habitat is ideally suited to these cunning animals & their population thrives. They're a wild, aggressive animal and challenging to hunt. Boars up to 130kg are common and 100kg boars are frequently obtained. Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge guarantee success.
Experienced guides ensure the utmost safety whilst on safari. Clients are encouraged to bring their own firearms, however, a variety are available for client use. Guests are to supply or cover the costs of ammunition.
We use a variety of vehicles to tackle the diverse environment, which includes Paperbark forests, rainforest jungles, vast lush floodplains and billabongs. Dry plains rooted up by pigs is seriously rough country & we travel by UTV Rhinos with independent suspension & 4WD with diff locks. Toyota Landcruisers & bull catcher style 4WD's are also utilised.
We cater for rifle or bow hunters, whether a novice and experienced.
Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge offers both lodge style and budget accommodation. 24 rooms are available in four separate blocks, surrounded by shady lawn areas and wildlife including the large population of Agile Wallaby. All rooms are in close proximity to the pool, bar and bistro. We cater for all groups large and small, conference groups, fly-in charters and campers.
