NON HUNTING ACTIVITIES
The Okavango Delta is an area of crystal clear water, wooden islands, grass covered flood plains and vast reed and papyrus beds. The area is well known for its birdlife, with over 400 species having been recorded in the area. In addition it's the home of the rare Sitatunga antelope and of the lechwe, another antelope which has adapted to the marshy area.
The Moremi Reserve encompasses 8,250 square kilometres of pristine wilderness and supports the dverse habitat and animal populations in Botswana. Located in the eastern sector of the Okavango Delta, the Reserve is completely flat with a network of numerous waterways between reed beds and islands of mixed woodland. The re-emergence of the wild dog is of great interest to conservationists.
