Rob Walter has been successfully operating Victoria Range for the past 12 years. A great deal of time & effort goes into selecting breeding stock and good management of birds. The Victorian Range Game Reserve specialises in walk up type hunting of pheasant and partridge using pointing and flushing dogs. Situated off the southern most point of the Victorian Range, which forms part of the famous Grampians in south-west Victoria, Australia.
The terrain is predominantly flat and very diverse in terms of the type of habitat, allowing the hunter a variety of hunting situations to experience throughout the day. The Reserve is approximately 77 acres and offers hunting on open grass areas, tussocks, river type rushes, bracken fern and a large area of timbered country with bracken fern undergrowth. All areas provide challenging and exciting game for both hunter and dogs. Dogs and guides are provided , however, clients are more than welcome to bring their own dogs.
Victoria Range caters for corporate groups right through to hunts for just one person.
Accommodation is available at no extra cost at the Reserve. This includes beds for uo to 5 people, a pot belly stove and a small kitchen. For a little more luxury or comfort, accommodation at a neighbouring property, South Mokanger is excellent. Also just 15 minutes away is the Royal Mail Hotel that is a 5 star facility in terms of both accommodation and fine dining.
